From our mushroom farm in Lincolnshire, we grow specially selected strains of functional mushrooms, which are then processed by us, to create liquid and powdered extracts. Our extracts are natural and powerful, giving you all the benefits of functional mushrooms in a convenient form. Our mission is to provide a natural solution for health and wellness, whilst helping more people to discover potential of these incredible organisms.
I grew up in a farming family and have always believed that food is the most important building block for good health. My interest in mushrooms was ignited when, as a young boy, I was given a field guide to mushrooms. But it was only when I started growing mushrooms that I truly realised what fascinating organisms they are.
When I first grew and ate Lion's Mane mushrooms I was amazed by the mental clarity they gave me and by the improvements I felt in my mood and sleep. I then went on to grow other species of functional mushrooms, such as the historically revered Reishi or the highly prized, energy-boosting, Cordyceps. Convinced of the benefits myself, I wanted to make sure that as many people as possible could benefit from these transformative fungi. So, with a lot of help from George and Lauren, we began to develop MycoMagic.

how it started
Creating the highest quality products with guaranteed traceability
We are comitted to creating products that are both safe and effective. All of our products meet rigorous standards for laboratory testing and have complete traceability from spore to shelf. This means customers can be sure they are getting only the purest, highest-quality products made using sustainable farming practices. By providing complete transparency about our processes and products, we aim to give our customers peace of mind when selecting MycoMagic as their go-to source for functional mushroom products.
At MycoMagic we begin by isolating and expanding the most promising mycelial cultures in our purpose-built laboratory. These are then expanded and used to inoculate a locally sourced, sustainable hardwood substrate. We then allow the mushrooms to colonise in our incubation rooms. When they are ready we move the fully colonised substrate into our growing rooms, ensuring that the temperature, humidity, light levels and other factors are all ideal for the mushrooms to thrive. When they are ready, we harvest the mushrooms by hand and carefully inspect them for quality, before transporting them to our factory for extraction. We use two hot water extraction steps, including state-of-the-art microwave extraction, followed by the further extraction of non-water soluble compounds using ethanol. We take great pride in the products we create and are committed to providing the best possible solution for health and wellness through functional mushrooms.
